Звук

На хороший звук на сцене нужно много денег. А если на сцене есть ещё и спецэффекты, то звуку они могут и помешать. Поэтому Пауль и выделяет то, что хороший звук - главное на сцене.

Apart from good mixing, the sound is simply a question of money. It's very expensive. We invest a lot of money in an oversized sound system. The sound is the be-all and end-all. Especially with our music, where everyone plays against everyone else as loud as they can. You need a good sound system. If you want to mow the cornfield, the scythe has to be sharp.

Хороший вечер

У каждого счастье своё и каждый отдыхает по-своему. И фанаты могут даже не радовать их. Флаке например всё равно.


I don't need to be celebrated to feel good. I don't need screaming people to be happy either. I don't think anyone needs that to live. It has nothing to do with me as a person that they are happy. They're not happy because they like me, but because they like the band. It doesn't concern me at all. I go and play, have fun with it, when I notice that the band plays well together, that something comes out of us, that it really means something, then it's a nice evening. Whether there are two hundred or two hundred thousand people, I don't really care.

Фит Тилля и Заз

Вышла новая песня в коллаборации Тилля и французской певицы Заз - естественно на её альбоме.

Песня нежная и красивая. Даже можно вначале подумать, что Тилль тоже на французском поёт, но если и поёт, то возможно, что редко. В основном на немецком пот и по её пару строк.

Сама идея фита появилась после выступления в Германии и благодаря одному из его визажистов.

Во время концерта в Германии его визажист сказал мне, что ему нравятся мои песни. А во время последнего концерта Rammstein в Париже он пригласил меня с моим пианистом в свою гримерку. Было сюрреалистично видеть, как он танцует под мою песню Zaz — Je Veux

Так же будет и клип, снятый в Узбекистане. Когда выйдет - неясно.

Любопытное всё же вдохновение: вроде история закончена на бумаге, про Трёх капитанов в дальнейшем ничего не ясно, как они живут, но несколькими страницами в оригинале они привлекли внимание большинства взрослых. И фикрайтеров в первую очередь.

Наверное сейчас про них писать интересно в основном только взрослым, ведь сами персонажи взрослые и много повидали. А плен Второго и Третьего породил парочку веток про них с их жизнью в дальнейшем. Даже прошлое Трёк капитанов раскрыли. Но интерес к ним явно не угаснет никогда.

Травмы

Играя рядом с огнём, непременно получишь травмы. И в основном это касается артистов - до зрителей они стараются, чтобы не доходил огонь.

On my arms, I have a lot of scars here. The coat was a bit loosely lined in the beginning, I got burnt pretty badly. It's also a question of insulation, how you protect yourself from burns. For example, there are pastes that you have to put in your hair when the sparks come down. Once one of those fell on my head and it burned for twenty seconds. Then I had a huge burn hole in my scalp, it was quite a lot. It doesn't matter. The important thing is that nothing happens to the audience.

Непредсказуемо

Огонь - та стихия, которая крайне непредсказуемая стихия. Очень сложно предсказать её дальнейшие действия. Но, по словам Рихарда, это в стихие и нравится. Хотя меры предосторожности, чтобы зрители остались целы предприняли.

The fascination is that fire is incredibly fast. It can be visualised quickly. I've come to respect it because I've also been in situations where I've realised how dangerous it is. It burns in all directions and is unpredictable, which I find fascinating. It always goes our direction. Sometimes a fire pot has exploded and burned a face. We have to live with that. It's like driving a car, you have to keep your distance.

Человеческая жизнь

Становясь музыкантом или другой публичной личностью, многие забывают, что они прежде всего люди, а людям свойствена человеческая жизнь. И если не соблюдать баланс между человеческой жизнью и публичной, то ко второму резко охладеешь или выгоришь. Пауль именно это и имел в виду.

To make music, you have to live in between. Not a musician's life, but a human life. Otherwise you burn out and have no new ideas. Now we'll take a break before we go for each other's throats. The motto is: Be wise before you do harm. Always check the oil, fill up the coolant, get new tyres, and then we'll go on.

Сделано в Feeling B

Многое из того, что было и иногда есть в Rammstein, было сделано в Feeling B иперенято из других проектов группы, которые были ранними. Но при прослушивании Feeling Bиногда было же такое, что слышали в Rammstein?

We used computers for the first time, Paul played guitar, I recomposed certain loops and drums. Flake sometimes came over and played along a bit. We finished a few songs, some of which later went to Rammstein. We wanted to start a new era, more mechanical and poppy. Aljoscha came back and got in a bad mood. He listened to the songs and thought everything was crap, he really hated it, and didn't want to write lyrics for it. I think because he wasn't there when the songs were written, he must have thought they were stupid. He didn't want to sing songs that others had done. Paul tried to change his mind for a while, but actually, Feeling B was finished.

Семейка Аддамс 2

Порадовало то, что он длится полтора часа, но тем не менее он интересный и поднимает тему, с которой многие сталкивались - ощущение того, что ты не вписываешься в семью, ты другой. А точно ли ты их родной ребёнок?
Хотя было бы ещё интереснее, если бы оказалось, что Венздей реально приёмная дочь Аддамс и тест бы подтвердился. Но с приёмными родителями ты прошёл многое, а родной отец, как в мультике тебе незнаком. Ты не знаешь его, да и спустя столько пришёл только потому, что ты стал(а) успешной, а приёмные родители любят тебя любым. Но несмотря на обман с ДНК-тестом, мультфильм всё равно интересно смотреть.

Скрытые дети

Из-за Второй Мировой Войны многие немцы стыдится своей национальности и не гордятся тем, что они немцы. Поэтому то, что Rammstein не стесняется показывать то, кто они есть многих в правительстве Германии напрягает. Рихард об этом говорит открыто.

People in power in Germany have problems with us. We might actually be too German for Germany. Because of WWII Germany is still ashamed of being German. To say that I'm proud to be a German and that I love making German music is just not possible. But we do that, and some people have problems with that. But really, there's nothing wrong with being German. There is nothing to be afraid of. I think the thing about us is that we're strong enough not to censor ourselves. But you can't deny that we exist. We are the hidden children of the German Republic… we are the unacceptable face of German music. Because there's something dangerous about us. That's why.

Флаке хотел стать врачом, а если точнее, то хирургом. Но не получилось, так как тогда тех, кто в армии не служил, не брали на высшее образование. Но он стал доктором, пусть это и стало обычным обращением иногда.

As a child, I was run over by a Trabant on a country road. When I came to after the collision, I had the turn signal in my mouth. Afterwards, I spent a long time in the surgical ward of the hospital because of my severe injuries, and was able to observe the doctors' work at close quarters. They turned completely battered and terminally ill children into healthy people again. That fascinated me so much that I wanted to do that later on.

Архаик

Архаичный тип. Такие люди знаю свои границы и проблемы. Они не пойдут к психологу, им ближе охота и рыбалка. Во всяком случае так говорил Тилль.

I believe in eating meat, gutting fish, hunting. In the animal in man. That's why I'll never have to run to a psychologist. I simply know what's wrong with me. I know my nature, even the abysmal sides. No, it's simply a primal form of life, for me it's one of the most typical things that has remained from our primal existence today - apart from fucking.

IMPATIENT

Помимо стереотипа о том, что басисты в группе не нужны, есть стереотип о том, что басистам нравится играть одну и ту же мелодию. Однообразие. Но Оливер не такой - ему нравится разнообразие. В своей книге Флаке писал об этом.

Bassists are known for stoically playing the same line for hours and hours, but Olli is much too impatient for that. I think that's a good thing, since it means he's always thinking up new ideas that none of us would ever come up with. Whether these ideas are actually realized is another story.

Спасает прошлое

Прошлое иногда придаёт силы для того, чтобы смотреть в будущее и для новых творческих свершений. Такое сделал Рихард - заглянул в прошлое - и получился 4 альбом Emigrate, связанный с памятью.

After the last tour, I had my first really bad crash. I had completely lost the idea of making music at all. Nothing motivated me anymore. I was at war with myself and somehow lost. The present, where you're supposed to live, was so shitty that I was thinking and feeling my way into the past. This gave rise to the idea of taking a look at what I was actually doing back then. So I forced myself to go to the studio and listen to old demos. I guess the past saved my life a little bit, it made me see the future again. That's why the album is called The Persistence of Memory - the only thing that held me in that time was my memories. Going back to the past eventually showed me the future.

Прямой звук

Совместная игра делает звук совершенно другим, чем когда ты один играешь. Звук становится плотнее и твёрже, а ещё объёмнее.

It hasn't been like a pre-production where each member is alone; it's been more of an all-together kind of thing. We liked the sound of it so much that we've decided to make the record more of a band-unit recording than a bunch of guys playing separately, - guitarist Paul Landers told Music Radar. - We'll have to see how it all ends up on the record, but the basic idea is you are hearing a band playing - you could say it is inspired by our live sound. That's exactly what we're going for.

Постоянная борьба

Долгая игра в одной группе может привести к тому, что один может почувствовать себя не понятым и начать перетягивать одеяло на себя. И тогда это может привести к ухудшению, а порой даже к развалу группы.

We've had our disagreements. The balance of power had changed. With success and longevity, our relationships had deteriorated. Some of us sought to have more influence than we should have, hence the tensions, - guitarist Paul Landers admitted to Rock Mag. - The worst was when Mutter was made. The ideas put forward by some were systematically sabotaged by others. And the more we discussed, the more sterile it became. For me it was a horror, a constant battle.

Emigrate Official

С недавних пор возникло ощущение, что Рихард передал страничку менеджерам. Дело не в контенте, а в том, что уж больно зачастил Рихард в инстаграм. Можно сказать, что он сети распробовал, но вряд ли. Нет, личное выкладывает, но та же раскрутка альбома - явно не сам это делает.

Решил повторить за Тиллем, у которого почти вся страница у менеджеров в руках? Да и телефон, судя по геотегам, постоянно в Германии, тогда как Тилля носит по всем местам за пределами страны. И Рихарда может также носить - телефон в стране, а сам он далеко.

Выбор лучшей песни

В раммшопе идёт такой опрос: ставят две песни друг напротив друга и спрашивают, какая лучше. Если вы это слушаете с музыкой, то заметили, что больше популярные песни включаются и фанаты, соответственно, выбирают ту, которую слышат.

Логики в этом нет абсолютно. Ладно бы там ставили песни, которые обе популярные и выбирали бы уже исходя из предпочтений. Хотя и это тоже неправильно, ведь каждая песня уникальна по-своему. Так походу будут их сравнивать до тех пор, пока одну не выберут. И где логика?

Может потому Lyrick-видео песен выпускают? Одна популярная, а вторая не так популярна и чтобы тексты видели, не ища эти тексты по всему интернету? А вот они - в группе в ютубе у Rammstein?

Платный отпускник

У каждого разные цели были в школе. Кто-то работать хотел, кто-то в творчество хотел уйти. Флаке же не хотел идти в армию. Ну и доволен тем, что благодаря творчеству деньги зарабатывает. И он этим доволен.

Why am I doing all of this anyway? 'If you'd paid attention in school, you wouldn't be in this mess', as Till likes to say in these situations. But of course that's not true - first of all, I did pay attention in school, and I always got good grades, too, until I told them I didn't want to go into the army; and second of all, I like being here. I wouldn't call it a mess at all. Plus I don't have to work at all. That was my express goal when I was a kid. And not just mine - half my class, just the boys of course, when asked what career we would choose, gave 'paid vacationer' as our answer. Well, I didn't really say that - I didn't have the nerve - but that's exactly what I've become.
